What has real value in your life? What is truly important to you? Above the trivial, what is a constant in your life? Did you work on that today? As you get to the end of the day, tired, wired and just wanting to be done with the to-do list, it’s often something I think about that question. It’s easy to get stuck in the immediate, without being present. All you do is react. You don’t really think about your day because it just goes…from one thing to the next. Until you look up and the day is over.

It pays to think about what has real value in your life, just like the foundational nature of the word “values” – we often forget about those lofty things when the game of life starts and we are off running, just trying to make sure all (or as many as possible) of the boxes are ticked (even if ticked poorly).

That can easily lead to whole periods of time going by, while you feel like you “haven’t really done anything.” Take a look at your values. And also consider whether they are getting any attention amidst everything else that is demanding that same attention.

And if you feel like you need help – I was there. I also felt like I was being pulled in all directions, with NO direction. I felt uninspired, stressed, with little to show for my efforts. That’s when I started putting my life principles in place. And it has been giving my life structure, calm, TIME and direction for the past 18 years. Which has since become my mission to teach others the same things that got me where I am today.
